Sunamp Limited & Heat Transfer Equipment Co. Sign Agreement to Manufacture Thermal Batteries
Sunamp Limited and Heat Transfer Equipment Company, Inc. have jointly signed a Supply, Licensing, and Manufacturing Agreement that brings domestic production of thermal energy storage (TES) batteries to California. The agreement enables Heat Transfer Equipment Company to manufacture batteries using Sunamp’s patented Plentigrade® phase change material (PCM) — the same technology that has set Sunamp apart as a global leader in thermal storage innovation.
This marks a major milestone in the onshoring of clean technology manufacturing and reinforces both companies’ commitment to delivering advanced energy systems tailored to California’s evolving market needs and policy landscape.
The thermal batteries will be featured in:
- The MEDUSA: PCM Integrated Heat Pump, currently in production
- A suite of new integrated products under design & development
- Standalone TES modules, part of a platform with 35,000+ units already deployed globally
- This agreement deepens technical and commercial collaboration between the two companies and solidifies their shared commitment to scalable, high-performance, and policy-aligned clean energy solutions.
